Julia Nitz
Consultant
Julia Nitz is an independent sustainability and climate reporting advisory consultant specializing in sustainability reporting and regulatory compliance, with a focus on the IFRS Sustainability Disclosure Standards (IFRS S1 and S2) and the European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS). She supports organizations in designing and implementing audit-ready, investor-grade
sustainability disclosures that integrate governance, double materiality, and climate transition
planning into a coherent reporting framework.
Drawing on hands-on experience implementing IFRS- and ESRS-aligned reporting within multinational organizations, Julia advises clients across the full sustainability reporting lifecycle. Her work includes regulatory gap assessments, double materiality assessments, KPI design and structuring, and the development of robust reporting processes and deliverables that meet
regulatory, investor, and assurance expectations. She places particular emphasis on aligning sustainability disclosures with financial reporting, internal controls, and cross-functional governance structures.

She supports organizations in developing credible Scope 1 and 2 decarbonization roadmaps, identifying abatement levers, and translating net-zero commitments into actionable, site-specific implementation plans. Her experience includes building tools and methodologies that link emissions baselines, reduction measures, timelines, and performance tracking, enabling transparent and realistic climate disclosures.
Julia works closely with sustainability, finance, operations, and legal teams, as well as senior leadership and external advisors, to ensure consistency across IFRS, ESRS, and other ESG frameworks. Her approach helps organizations move beyond fragmented reporting toward integrated, decision-useful disclosures that support regulatory compliance, operational decarbonization, and long-term value creation.
